The next question will be, “Where will I start?” the answer to this one is simple enough; start with a topic and concentrate on that. As much as possible avoid changing your mind about the topic because that will only confuse you in the end. If you have suddenly run out of ideas about a certain topic, stop writing and rest for while. The mind needs to relax to be able to produce more thoughts and ideas.

Whatever the topic will be, it is good if you can fill in your notes with everything from your mind. But sometimes, that is not the case and you need to research for some ideas. That is easy to do. The Internet is loaded with ideas about anything under the sun. Other than that, you can ask around—family and friends can help you out. It is never wrong to ask for help or suggestion especially if it’s aimed to make your work better. If you are keeping your book as a secret, that will be a problem. But if everyone knows that you are on the verge of becoming a published author then it’s alright. Most people would even be willing to help you out… well, there is always an acknowledgment part of the book.

”There may be times when you will keep repeating to yourself, “How to write a book?”, “Why do some people do it easily?”

The answer could be this: it is easy for some people because they have been doing it for a while, or that they just have the patience to be a writer. You can do it too—as a matter of fact anyone can.

If you are finding it hard to put words into paper, it can only mean that you are working too hard but may be not thinking right. Sit back, read what you have written so far. Remember the times when you are reading someone else’s work? There were times when you think you could have written better, right? Well, do that with your work. Be critical, look for mistakes, any loopholes. Then and only then you will see where you have gone wrong.

Once you have acknowledged that you have made a mistake, you can get to work on correcting them. Keep in mind that writing is like romancing; it’s the love of the chase. It is a bittersweet relation between you and the words; you chase the words as you try to construct them into sentences. There is unexplained excitement in that and an exhilarating joy once you have completed the task.

Again, “How to write a book” can be answered in a very complicated manner or in a simple one. That will depend on your point of view. If you are sure of what you want, writing a book can be a breeze, you know.
