Writing a book: Share what is in your mind

For some people writing a book is a means of bringing out their ideas. Usually their main drive is to share what’s on their mind. Others, on the other hand, write a book because they have had some very unique experiences. May it be romantic, adventurous, or even tragic, they wanted to share to the world what they have gone through.

Writing a book:Share your knowledge

There are also those people who have been experts in their field and they have felt that they need to write down some of the in-depth knowledge they have learned about those fields. Some have been commissioned to write a book about their expertise and so they become compelled to write.

If you are an avid book reader you must have, at one time in your life, also thought about writing a book. You have sat down, jot down ideas, got frustrated because you were not able to write down what you think should be written down and eventually have abandoned them.

Why don’t you go and get those notes now?

Do not procrastinate; that’s the worst enemy of not just writers but of everyone. If you really want to be a professional writer, there is no harm in trying out and enrolling on a writing course. That is always a good start.

If you are too busy and have no time to attend regular school classes, there are still various sites on the Internet that offers courses related to Journalism and Publishing. Find the right one for you and your budget—it may just be the step you need.

Keep in mind that you will never be an author unless you finish something. It could a book on a collection of poems. It could be a children’s book, a recipe book, historical, novel, informative, etc., the thing is, do not hesitate. Give in to your desire, to your dreams.

We all know that published authors are famous and some have even turned rich. The thing to remember is that does not happen overnight. Those authors on the best sellers list did not get recognition as soon as their books were published. It took years and lots of efforts to get them where they are. It is not just the authors who have worked; many people were behind those successes, too

Fame and fortune, yes, we all want that. But if you will use those two things as inspirations for writing a book, you won’t go far. Be inspired with what’s in your heart and mind and you will see that words will come to you.

You may be successful and get your book published or you may get rejected many times. The important thing is you have done what you have always wanted, to become an author of a book, your book.

Remember that no one regrets that they have written a book, but there are those who have certainly regretted they have never written anything at all.

Hey, Ann Here. Thanks for checking out my site. I hope you will find useful the information I put here about writing and publishing a book.

I'm an English teacher by profession and have written many articles, children’s books and e-books using various pseudonyms. I started as a writer by accident. I was a ghost writer for a novelist, doing proofreading and some editing until I realized that writing was something I also loved to do.
